St. Joseph’s House

On Memorial Day Weekend 2026, Kit & Jerry’s Foundation for Good partnered with the local Catholic community to fully fund the immediate needs of St. Joseph’s House in Hyannis. The initiative is inspired by a notebook found in Jerry Boucher’s truck the day after the accident, which detailed plans to raise money for beds at the shelter.

Because of the generosity of the community, Kit & Jerry’s Foundation for Good raised over $64,000 for to purchase beds for St. Joseph’s House. This is an amount that far exceeded Jerry’s initial imagination, and we know was possible only because of Jerry & Kit’s continued partnership from Heaven.

A follow up “pop up” fundraiser was coordinated by Kit & Jerry’s granddaughter, Jennie, that raised an additional $3,500 to buy St. Joseph’s House guests gift cards.

St. Joseph’s House serves Cape Cod residents—including a significant population of senior citizens—who are without housing due to the regional housing shortage. Many shelter guests are employed but priced out of the Cape’s expensive housing market.

The shelter is currently transitioning to a new facility designed to offer a safer, more dignified environment and expanded resources to help guests transition into long-term housing. Please keep your prayers with St. Joseph’s House as they navigate complex challenges with their relocation.
